Why I need to climb more
Thursday night I hit the Emigration TT.
I was not happy with the results.
Maybe it was the headwind — pretty much everyone had a slower time than their last outing. Maybe it was the heat. Or, as my wife pointed out, maybe it was the Chocodiles I had for breakfast.
But I added more than two minutes to my time and had the slowest mark of the day. Clearly I was not hitting on all cylinders and I’ve got to change that.
But that’s why I go out there for those TT races: to see where my fitness and ability is and to see where and how I can improve.
And I’ve certainly got lots of room for improvement.
