Yes, I recognize the teasing. It's all good.

San Fran was a great little visit. And, honestly, the only 'weird' people I saw were a couple at CdS. He was wearing a slinky backless gown with his long curly hair and goatee. She was apparently a little more concerned with the cold and kept herself wrapped up. During the intermission, though, they were trying to impress someone with their dancing and panhandling.

And even that wasn't too 'weird' compared to some of the people I see in Utah County. :)

It's not the doing that always surprises me ... judging by the number of kids in Utah, obviously people are doing stuff. But you're not supposed to TALK (or blog) about it! ~wink!

I am just teasing; I sincerely hope you recognize that (and don't mind too terribly) ...

We had a great time. It was a quick trip, but fun.

We got to the hotel around noon and walked to Chinatown for some lunch. Food was good, service was lacking, the view from a sixth floor window table was great.

The we walked through Chinatown and up to Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. We decided to be cheapos and didn't go to the top of the tower. It was really foggy, cloudy and raining a little here and there so the views from the hill were ruined. But it was still a good little hike. We saw Garfield Elementary and were amazed at the blacktop playground. I think it was the size of my backyard, seriously, maybe a little larger.

We then walked to the Wharf area, decided against walking up Lombard and just went to Pier 39 and people watched. It was so foggy and cloudy you could hardly make out Alcatraz. From there, we walked along the Embarcadero to Market Street and then back up to our hotel at Market and 3rd.

We were cold, took a long hot shower and hung out for an hour or so before veturing out again. We just walked all over and into the Westfield Mall.

After that, back to the hotel to change, walked down 3rd toward the circus and found Chevy's Fresh Mex for dinner. I feel like we did ourselves a disservice by eating at Chevy's for dinner instead of a cool place near the piers, but oh well.

CdS was way cool. It was just an old fashioned circus without the animals. Lots of acrobats, jugglers, clowns and such -- all done with the CdS flair. Very cool.

Walked home in the rain amid drunked Oregon State football fans -- they had a bowl game at AT&T Park at the same time -- and fell asleep. We think we walked 6-7 miles that day and our legs were tired.

We checked out flight, checked the weather and decided rather than to play tourists in the morning, we'd just go to the airport and try to get on an early flight standby. Good thing, too. My wife got the one seat available on the 10:40 flight but that's because it didn't leave until 1:10. My original flight was scheduled to leave at 3:40 but didn't take off until 6:20. I sat around the airport for a long time and, I think, ate some bad fish as I passed the time.

But, my wife got home a little earlier than we anticipated and helped the kids get ready for bed. Had we both been on our original flight, our younger kids would have been left alone with our 13 year old for way too long.

All in all, San Fran was a cool town and I'd definitely go again.

Alas, the only bare boobies to be seen were my wife's.

Having lived in San Francisco (Pine & Powell, on Nob Hill) for 11 years (and in the Bay Area in general ... if you include Santa Cruz ... for another 6+ years) before moving to the 801 in 2002 ... I personally would be surprised if there weren't MORE bare boobies at the CdS in SF than in LV.

Hope y'all had a a fabu time in my old home town ...
